Sample Relaxation Meditation No 2

I've included a simple meditation for your enjoyment and relaxation.  You might like to record this on CD or cassette so you can listen to it and chill out somewhere that's comfortable and safe.  

Close your eyes...that's right...and take a slow deep breath...and exhale slowly...allowing your muscles to relax...and deflate easily...and comfortably...as you begin slowly inhaling and exhaling...closing the door to the outside world just for a little while...or as long as you need...and you will know how much time is necessary to remain in this relaxed state of being...

Take another deep breath...and as you do this become aware of the rise...and fall...of your chest...noticing the sound of the uniqueness of your natural breathing rhythm...

Imagine yourself to be within the core of your own...personal... universe...your Being...and notice how much lighter and relaxed you start to become...as you begin floating...light as a feather...in an atmosphere of peace...calm... tranquillity... leaving all attachment behind...in this present moment ...yes right now... while you take some valuable time out for you...to gather inner strength... balance...focus...relaxation...

A feeling of warmth and love washes through you as you gently continue to float within your personal universe...knowing you are totally supported here and safe...and you can feel the warmth and relaxation radiating through all parts of you...and around you as you breathe in clarity and focus... and exhale stress...concerns...and anything no longer useful to you...as you let your mind drift...you begin to notice a lightness within you and around you...you find you have greater clarity...light heartedness...inner strength...increasing your wellbeing...moving...floating effortlessly...safely for the next few minutes...

And again you notice how your chest slowly rises and falls...in natural rhythm with each and every inward and outward breath... all by itself...automatically...and you start to become again attuned to the sound of your breathing...slowly and easily becoming more and more aware of the sound you make as you continue to get a sense of how much you have relaxed and how your mind now is clear and how light and really, really good it feels...and you know that it is now time to return bringing back with you all those really good feelings of relaxation...

And now you start returning to the space you're in...wiggling your toes...touching your nose...returning now fully and totally alert and awake...having a big stretch...feeling refreshed...taking a deep breath...in balance...and relaxed...

CAUTION:  DO NOT LISTEN TO THE CD or CASSETTE WHILST DRIVING OR OPERATING MACHINERY.
